Joshua has been handling serious personal injury and wrongful death cases in Georgia for over 15 years.

Joshua has always worked around injury claims and the insurance industry. At the University of Georgia, Joshua majored in Risk Management/Insurance and worked for State Farm. Joshua then attended Law School at the University of Georgia and after graduation worked for several years as In-House Litigation Counsel for Progressive Insurance. Joshua followed these experiences with 10 years at a preeminent Southeast defense firm – Goodman McGuffey. Joshua quickly worked his way up from Junior Associate to Equity Partner while training under some of the state’s finest trial lawyers. Joshua represented Fortune 500 companies, national retailers, product manufacturers, and insurance companies.

Joshua then decided to turn in his big firm partnership and proudly joined the Law Offices of Andrew E. Goldner, LLC to work with his good friend, Andy Goldner, representing the seriously injured and the families of those who tragically lost their life. Joshua learned the ins and outs of a successful plaintiff’s practice working side by side Andy. These lessons provided the final foundation for the J. Stein Law Firm.

Joshua has used these collective experiences to recover millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his injured clients.

Above all, Joshua strives to carry out the client service the J. Stein Law Firm philosophy preaches. Joshua realizes how a major injury event throws his clients lives upside down so he obsesses over what can be controlled – making sure each client has a positive experience with the J. Stein Firm and receives proper communication. Joshua will always keep the J. Stein Firm small to maintain personal contact with every client. Resolution

One of the first questions our clients ask is “Will my case go Court?”. The truth is the great majority of cases never see the inside of a Courtroom. Further, the J. Stein Law Firm will always set out to reach a fair and amicable resolution for its clients outside of Court.

However, that cannot not happen unless cases are properly worked and the insurance company knows that the attorney is ready, willing, able and most importantly, capable of presenting a case to the jury. Joshua prides himself on making sure his reputation is just that. As such, Joshua routinely tries cases to verdict. This forces insurance companies to take his client’s more seriously and in turn, make more significant settlement offers.

Mediation

Alternative Dispute Resolution/Mediation is also large part of how the J. Stein Law Firm brings cases to a timely conclusion for its clients. Mediation is when a 3rd party neutral is hired to bring both sides together to discuss resolution. Joshua strongly believes in this benefit to his clients as another way to resolve their injury claims in an efficient manner and out outside of the Courtroom.
