Talking Commercial Real Estate, Social Media Marketing, Dawgs in the Draft, Shipping the Falcons to London, and WWE Theme Songs with Jared Schlosser
Jared Schlosser joins us this week. He is the SVP at Stonehill – a direct lender to the hotel industry. This was such a fun and wide ranging conversation. We talked about the challenges he faced graduating from college in 2007 one the eve of the Great Recession and the strategies he employed to navigate success in the commercial real estate world. We talk about what it takes to survive when the lights get turned out on an entire industry due to a pandemic out of anyone’s control. We discuss how he got into lending hotels and why doing good work/networking is so vital in every business. We discuss social media usage and effective strategies to help become a thought leader and grow your brand and business. We talk about his current Legislative efforts to bring more clean energy into construction projects. We transition to looking at the upcoming NFL Draft and the Georgia Bulldogs who are expected to be drafted. Jared is an avid Dawgs fan and his passion shows. Jared is also a Falcons fan – albeit a tortured one. We talk about what he would do on Day 1 as the GM. Finally, we talk about how Jared was introduced to WWE wrestling at the age of 2-3 and we reminiscence on the good old days of professional wrestling – including playing Name That Tune on wrestler walk up theme music.
