Pedestrian accidents are caused by motor vehicle drivers failing to look out for people lawfully walking or running on the streets. These accidents are often severe because the pedestrians have no protection against a large vehicle or truck.

The law in Georgia is clear:

every driver of a vehicle shall exercise due care to avoid colliding with any pedestrian upon any roadway, shall give warning by sounding his horn when necessary, and shall exercise proper precautions
